A Bibliophile Prunes The Library

I am moving and I am not going to pack all these books again.

But I will sell them to you

• Books are divided into categories
• Books within most categories cost $5 including shipping by media mail USPS
• That means most books are costing you somewhere around $2.50 or less.
• Certain books that cost more to ship or we feel have a higher book value will cost $10 including shipping.
• We have some author or subject related bundles. bundles are $10 including shipping.
• The $10 books are so few the best way to simplify the process without reinventing the wheel is:
  If you want to play the odds pick the paypal $5 button.
  If the book obviously sounds like it should be more than $2.50 hit the paypal $10 button
• Or, if you are feeling generous and are delighted at having found the book -- $10 button.
• Books are ordered in their categories by last name of author unless otherwise stated
• Categories are not strict according to content, i.e. some category placement may be arguable

ABOUT SECURITY

• My server is run by Verio and is on the most secure and the fastest public communications back bone in the world.
• Verio has an umbrella SSL security certificate paid for automatically.
• The certificate is shared by Verio and its servers.
• But it is not shared enough to stop the browser's customer scattering alarm.
• But Verio will sell me an alarm stopping software element if I pay them enough.
• If a message pops up saying this may be an unsafe site
  please curse the browser makers for me and the greedy muckrakers.
• And silently realize that most security stuff is to make money, not to make security.
• Observe how you will get a spam mail wanting to sell you security within 24 hours of that pop up msg.

1. As you can see with a little trip through http://waybackmachine.com , http://SeesTheDay.com has been running for 12 years. We have never had a security problem. Because Verio is also very good at what they do
2. The book transaction is between me and you. Worst that can happen would be the book is destroyed in shipment.
3. The financial transaction is between you and PayPal whether you use a credit card or paypal card.
4. When you hit the PayPal button, you are connected with PayPal, not me.
5. PayPal is what eBay runs on. Do you think they are not secure?
6. Next week we will get around to re-starting openssl, the better than best open source alternative.
7. Then, you won't see that msg anymore
8. Otherwise it costs me several hundred bucks that pays for nothing except to have the browser remove that silly warning.
9. Two things I believe:
   • One, I should not have to acquiesce to the policy of greed that has devastated the world.
   • Two, if medicare pays the medical bills then it should pay the medical bills. It should not authorize another industry to charge yet more money for that which is not defined, not itemized, is unnecessary and gives outfits like AARP the clearance to act as though they are befriending you when they point you to or sell you something at a ridiculous price. AARP is a business, Homer! JOIN ME IN THE REVOLT.

• Each category is an audio file
• Have your audio player on and volume set before you left click the category
• Somewhere on your player is a grabber you can use to rapidly move forward or backward in a file.
• Somewhere on you player is an option to put your player in compact mode. Failing that you will have an option for small window mode. Use one of these to grab top of window and move it away from your view of the category list below.
